You're so lovely, thank you. Younger me was struggling under some pretty high expectation in other areas which took root and ended up as crippling anxiety. But back then I was so (subjectively) 'bad' at art, that the idea that I'd leave school to become an artist was unfathomable. It felt a safe place to hide. Ironically, I become a commercial photographer in my 30s and set a bar for myself so unreachable that I ended up by quitting that too. So I guess I'm trying to find a balance now, on my own terms. I'd love to hear about your younger self as an artist. How did you come to photography? xx
So beautiful put about balance on your own terms. I find myself nodding vehemently at your journey and am so glad you are still writing. Thank you for the excellent question/lovely prompt; I will think on it. xx
I relate so well to that tension between wanting to rebel and wanting to shine. I love how you've expressed this.
Thank you kindly. I’m glad it resonated. x

I understand. I'm on a similar journey with my blog. Trying to convince myself of what I'm writing.
Oh I feel this!!!! But if it's any consolation, I really love reading it. x
How profoundly powerful and beautiful. This deeply resonates with me — and younger-me is envious of your earlier messy rebellion / freedom.
